As part of our commitment to promoting learning and development opportunities for Latin American talent, we are thrilled to have participated in Universidad Evangelica's Ideaton 2023. At the event, Simera proudly donated a learning course to each winner, enabling them to enhance their skills and abilities further and access greater employment opportunities.
“This activity is part of our mission to democratize employment opportunities through fostering learning and development for students and alumni. We are thankful for this opportunity that our partner Universidad Evangelica has provided through their employment program C-Orienta, and we hope we have a chance to continue participating in these activities”.
Gabriela Gavidia, Head of HR and Global Partnerships at Simera.
One of Simera's latest initiatives is the donation of a course to the winning students of the Ideaton 2023 at Universidad Evangélica. This innovation competition challenges young people to use design thinking methodologies and gamification to solve real-life business problems. Donating these courses will allow students to choose a specific skill to develop, giving them a competitive advantage in the job market.
“We are proud to present the Ideaton 2023, where more than 80 students are participating in creating the best idea by the use of the Design Thinking methodology. Each group has been assigned a social challenge, such as water conservation or improving the inclusion of elderly individuals in society. As Universidad Evangélica, we are grateful to count with the support of companies such as Simera that continue to encourage our students to use their knowledge and creativity to perform these amazing projects.”
Saul Guzman, Dean assistant of the Business Science Faculty in Universidad Evangélica.
This initiative is just part of Simera's alliance with some of the most important universities in the region. The partnership provides Latin American professionals with access to the Simera community, as well as the opportunity to join the global job market. This is particularly exciting because it will also provide an access channel to North American companies, meaning young Latin American talent can work on exciting and challenging projects worldwide.
Simera understands that talent can be found everywhere and that cultural and thought diversity is essential to business success. By partnering with universities in the region, Simera can help democratize employment opportunities for Latin American talent, which in turn strengthens the region's economy and global competitiveness.
Simera's donation of the course to the winning students of the Ideaton 2023 at Universidad Evangélica is a great step in the right direction for democratizing employment opportunities in Latin America. Simera's alliance with regional universities and its commitment to helping young Latin American talent join the global job market is a great example of how companies can contribute to sustainable development and regional economic growth.
